Owl’s Nest Sanctuary for Wildlife cares for around 4,000 animals every year, representing the majority of Florida’s native species.
Our mission is simple: rescue, rehabilitate, and release as many animals as possible back into the wild.
We work closely with local agencies, schools, and community partners to further education and awareness of Florida’s diverse wildlife.
Every rescue is a chance to protect the balance of our ecosystems and give animals a second chance at life.
Species We Commonly Rescue
Birds of Prey: owls, hawks, falcons, ospreys, and eagles
Songbirds & Shorebirds: blue jays, cardinals, mockingbirds, pelicans, herons, ibises, and gulls
Mammals: squirrels, opossums, raccoons, rabbits, foxes, bobcats, and bats
Reptiles: turtles, tortoises, snakes, and lizards
Other Native Wildlife: armadillos, skunks, and occasionally river otters

Community Support: With over 200 volunteers, Owl’s Nest is 100% volunteer-staffed and 100% donation-run, ensuring that every resource goes directly to saving wildlife.

Our goal is to reduce human impact on Florida’s native wildlife through rehabilitation, education, and teamwork.
We are now in fawn season. 🦌 And with that, rehabbers everywhere have their hands full with educating well-meaning people who have kidnapped fawns.
